The Kern River
Alliance was incorporated in August 1995 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization. We have no paid staff members. KRA is all volunteers
dedicated to the preservation of the Kern River in California and its
whitewater sports. Our
mission statement:
To create
opportunities for kids to experience kayaking in a fun and
safe environment through camps and workshops while building confidence
and self esteem. Kern River Alliance Kids Kayaking Program is a Junior
Olympic program that provides a rare opportunity for young people to
prepare and compete on a national and international level.
