To create opportunities for kids to experience kayaking in a fun and safe environment through camps and workshops while building confidence and self esteem. Kern River Alliance Kids Kayaking Program is a Junior Olympic program that provides a rare opportunity for young people to prepare and compete on a national and international level.
Whether you’re new to kayaking, a seasoned whitewater adventurer, or share our passion for protecting and improving one of California’s greatest rivers, joining the Kern River Alliance is for you. This is your chance to meet others who share your whitewater passion, enjoy organized and supervised adventures, and gain access to expert instructors.
KRA is run by volunteers dedicated to the preservation of the Kern River in California and its whitewater sports. Through various events, membership dues, and donations, KRA raises funds to provide equipment, programs and publications. Our 501(c)(3) number is 77-0410282.
